Heather, Chris, and I went to elementary and junior high school together...in California. If a funny, round-about way, we all ended up in Utah and eventually, all got in touch with each other and have struck up a really great new friendship. When these two got in touch with each other however, it was loooove. Heather and Chris were married at Sundance Ski Resort, one of my favorite places to photograph a wedding in Utah. Why? Because it's natural, breezy, away from the world, and everything seems effortless there. Chris and Heather's attitudes about getting married made it even better. They didn't want a huge shebang. They just wanted to celebrate getting married with their favorite friends and family members, because that's what it's really all about. Don't get me wrong though, I do love me a big shebang. Yeah, shebang. I looked it up. That's how you spell it.
Upon my recommendation, Heather (and Chris) had the talented Audrey of Studio Stems design and execute the floral designs. Heather's dress is from The Perfect Dress. You can find more of my trusted wedding vendor suggestions, right here.
The photos you see below, are some of my favorite spreads from their wedding album. Their luxurious leather album cover of suede with "crocodile" leather binding, works perfectly with the wedding photos contained within.
